| Morning Open Painting Class 10am-1pm (Morning Class) Ake Arendal £180 This class will explore both abstract and representational approaches. You will be encouraged to draw ideas and inspiration from varied sources and to experience working with a variety of materials. An awareness of 20th century developments in colour, space, form and imagery will be important to each student's work. Traditional Painting and Portraiture 9:30am-12:30pm Douglas Druce £195 The accent in this class will be on keen observation, tones and colour values. Techniques from Rembrandt, through to the Impressionists will be studied, as you investigate the processes that artists have used throughout the centuries. Jewellery 9:30am-12:30pm (Morning Class) Ann Ruthven-Taggart £195* The course is tailored for both beginners and those with some expertise. Base metals such as copper and brass will be used initially, progressing to silver to produce rings, pendants, cufflinks etc. Techniques covered will be: the shaping and forming of metal, joining and soldering, and finishing and texturing. Afternoon Open Painting Class 1:30-4:30pm (Afternoon Class) Ake Arendal £180 This class will explore both abstract and representational approaches. An awareness of 20th century developments in colour, space, form and imagery will be important to each student's work. Traditional Still Life and Floral Painting 1-4pm Douglas Druce £180 The traditional skills used by both the Dutch masters and the Impressionists will be taught in this highly original and lively class. Oils and acrylics can be used; beginners are welcome. Jewellery 1-4pm (Afternoon Class) Ann Ruthven-Taggart £195* The course is tailored for both beginners and those with some expertise. Base metals such as copper and brass will be used initially, progressing to silver to produce rings, pendants, cufflinks etc. Techniques covered will be: the shaping and forming of metal, joining and soldering, and finishing and texturing. *Includes costs of basic materials, but not precious metals. < Back to List of Classes |
